Some restaurants chase trends. City Limits in Sherman never bothered — the menu that opened the doors on January 4, 1982 still anchors the one serving today, and the chicken fried steak in Sherman TX that has been on it since day one remains the dish most people order first. Hand breaded, smothered in country gravy, and served with fries and a salad for $14.95, it is the kind of plate that explains why a restaurant with no advertising budget has stayed packed for four decades.
