Kyle’s Quick Change
There’s a difference between a business that has merely been around a long time and one the community has actually kept choosing for that long — Kyle’s Quick Change is the second kind. Opened in 2004 by Pete Kyle, his wife Cindy, and their son Shawn, the shop built its name on drive-through, stay-in-your-car oil changes at 4615 Old Jacksboro Hwy in Wichita Falls. That name has carried through two decades and a generational handoff — the shop is now run by Shawn and his wife, Cassie, without missing a beat.
What keeps people coming back is how little friction there is. Services are oil and oil filter changes with Quaker State products, engine air filter swaps, and a full-service lube that includes a complimentary windshield washer fluid check — no appointment required, most visits wrapped up in around 15 minutes. Customers who’d rather stretch their legs than sit in the car are welcome in the lobby, which has magazines and an NBA Jam arcade cabinet to pass the time.
The Kyle family’s connection to cars goes beyond the service bay too — a hand-painted race car mural on the building and a history of hosting local car shows in the shop’s own lot reflect the family’s real racing roots, detailed on the Kyle’s Quick Change history page. Community recognition has followed: Texoma’s Best Oil Change from the Times Record News Community Choice Awards seven times (2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2018, and 2009), a 2025 CommunityVotes Wichita Falls Platinum win for Oil Change, and a 4.8-star rating across 296 Google reviews.
